1. What does Quantum Solenoid do?
A. Increases engine torque output for a wide range of engine speeds and increases power. You will feel the power difference right away after installing Quantum Solenoid. Engineers design the engines for maximum power, but manufacturers detune the engine for many reason. Quantum Solenoid helps to unleash the performance potential of the engines bringing your cars to life.
2. How does Quantum Solenoid do this?
A. More precise and quicker control of the variable valve timing achieves a cleaner and more complete combustion cycle providing better throttle response and less carbon build up. This translates to more usable power to the wheels and better acceleration.
3. Has Quantum Solenoid been tested?
A. Quantum Solenoid is a patented product that has been tested for over 5 years and over 10 million total miles.
4. Will Quantum Solenoid damage my engine?
A. Quantum Solenoid is manufactured using the best components, state of the art manufacturing process and technology that exceeds OEM standards. As a performance part that is indistinguishable by the car computer, Quantum Solenoid will not damage the engine. If it fails, it will trigger a "Check Engine" light just like an OEM unit requiring a simple replacement. Car manufacturers have many sensors that will know if a unit is not functioning correctly. In reverse, the ECM can detect the higher performing Quantum Solenoid, unleashing the performance potential of your engine. Cleaning your air MAF and MAP sensors will help your ECM better regulate the new solenoid.
5. Can I install the unit myself?
Q. Yes, you can install it yourself using our installation guides. However, it is highly recommended that you have it professionally installed. We also recommend an oil change when you install the Quantum Solenoid. With Honda and Acura models, we do not recommend installing the units yourself: we tried, and it was a painfully difficult process. Please find a professional to install Quantum Solenoid.
6. Why is an oil change recommended with the unit installation?
A. Too many impurities in the motor oil can cause the Quantum Solenoid to not function at its full performance potential. If you wish to feel the full performance potential of Quantum Solenoid, an oil change is highly recommended.
7. How long will the Quantum Solenoid last?
A. Made using the best components, state of the art manufacturing and technology processes, Quantum Solenoid should last well past 100k miles. Bear in mind that this is also dependent on many different factors such as how often you do your oil change, how much you abuse your engine, etc.
8. Why do I not feel any performance improvement in ECO mode?
A. Quantum Solenoid shows a more pronounced improvement in normal or PWR mode of the engine operation, but it also depends on the model of the car. Please drive the car in either of these two modes for several days for the ECM to adjust to take full advantage of the unit.
9. Will Quantum Solenoid void my warranty?
A. This depends on your vehicle manufacturer and service department. To be clear, based on the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act, the vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty of your vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part was the cause of or contributed to the failure of the vehicle (15 U.S.C. 2302 (C)). Quantum Solenoid being a direct OEM replacement part that will act like an OEM unit, we do not expect issues.
